The Statue of Unity, watched over by Pro-Inspector
At 182 metres, the Statue of Unity is the tallest in the world — a marvel of engineering whose construction left no room for a missed inspection.

Introduction
The Statue of Unity, standing at an awe-inspiring 182 metres, is a monumental tribute to Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel — taller than the Statue of Liberty and the Spring Temple Buddha. Beyond its symbolism, it is a marvel of engineering, design and construction near Kevadia in Gujarat.
The design was entrusted to sculptor Ram Vanji Sutar, with construction undertaken by Larsen & Toubro (L&T). The project commenced in October 2013 with a budget of ₹27 billion and, despite its scale and exposed location in the Narmada river, was completed in record time and inaugurated on 31 October 2018.
The challenge
Situated mid-river, the statue is exposed to wind speeds of up to 39 m/s and must resist both wind and earthquakes. A build of this complexity and visibility demanded inspection and quality processes that simply could not slip — across thousands of checkpoints and a punishing schedule.
How Pro-Inspector helped
L&T deployed Pro-Inspector to digitise inspection and quality management on site. Structured digital checklists, non-conformance tracking and instant reporting replaced paper, giving teams a reliable, auditable record of every check — and the confidence that nothing was overlooked on a structure the whole nation would be watching.
On the tallest statue on earth, vigilance wasn't optional — every checkpoint was captured, tracked and signed off, digitally.
